Somewhere, It's Still Summer: Hiroshi Nagai

17 July - 3 August 2025
Sato Gallery is honoured to present the works of iconic Japanese artist Hiroshi Nagai in his first exhibition in France.

Known for his radiant skies, tranquil coastlines, and eternal sunsets, Nagai’s imagery captures the elusive beauty of summer as a dream that never fades. His work invites us into an idealised yet deeply familiar world, a quiet, sunlit escape suspended between nostalgia and serenity.

Rendered in luminous, perfectly balanced colours and marked by strikingly composed, cinematic perspectives, his scenes have become timeless icons of Japanese pop culture and visual memory.

The exhibition presents a selection of exclusive edition prints, all produced in Japan, reflecting the artist’s precise sense of composition, light, and emotional stillness. More than a season, summer becomes here a state of mind, vivid, distant, and eternal.

Somewhere, it’s still summer.

Let these images take you there.
