Yufi Japan, b. 1990

Yufi’s world exists in between — between cultures, memories, and dreams — a quiet space where belonging becomes infinite
Born in Tokyo in 1990, Yufi  is a self-taught painter whose work explores the liminal space between memory, dream, and consciousness. Of Japanese, Korean, and Russian descent, she moved to the United States at sixteen, shaping a visual language that blends nostalgic brightness with quiet melancholy. Her pastel-toned worlds evoke both warmth and solitude, inviting viewers into an introspective calm. Yamamoto has exhibited in Japan, Taiwan, France, and the United States, including international showcases with The Curators.
